Welcome to Model Farm, where every day is filled with the joy of new beginnings and agricultural excellence! In the heart of our thriving Lambing Season, we’re delighted to share the latest chapter in our journey.
A bounty of blessings: 14 sets of twins and our first triplets
In a testament to precision and expertise, we’re overjoyed to announce the birth of 14 sets of twins and our very first set of triplets. This remarkable achievement mirrors our best performance in 2022, marking a season of abundance and growth.
At the core of our success lies our progressive farming methodology. The simultaneous breeding of Damara Sheep and Boer Goats ensures not only the birth of healthy kids and lambs but also provides enhanced protection against predators. This strategic synchronization facilitates streamlined management, aligning everyone with the same vaccination and deworming program.
Contributing to conservation: Reducing human-wildlife conflicts
Beyond our farm gates, we take pride in sharing our pivotal livestock management practices with fellow farmers. By doing so, we aim to contribute substantively to the reduction of human-wildlife conflicts, fostering a harmonious coexistence between nature and agriculture.
Step into our farm, and you’ll be greeted by a kaleidoscope of colours and patterns. The vibrancy of this year’s newborns adds an extra layer of excitement to each day. Our dedication to excellence in farming is not just about productivity; it’s about nurturing life in all its beautiful forms.
As we navigate through Lambing Season 2024, we invite you to be a part of this heart-warming journey. Follow us on social media for updates, and if you’re in the area, consider paying us a visit. Witness the beauty of our lambs, watch them grow, and share in the joy of new life on Model Farm.
